have you ever heard about augmented relity?

have you ever used this technology? no? 

actually,you have ever used it or maybe you have been using it in your daily life but you haven't know that is AR

so in this blog I wanna tell you what's AR

Augmented Reality is a technology which combine 2D and 3D into a real environment then project it in real-time. Augmented reality or well-known as AR is a technology where someone enjoy it througout video and audio 3D. Does it sounds like Virtual Reality or VR? indeed, AR and VR are nearly as the same thing but there is a big difference between both.

if Virtual Reality brings someone into a different world for felling it but AR is different. AR technology is related with the real world. for instance, one of the famous brand of paint, Dulux, has an app where someone able to change the wall colour of his house instantly. the thing that he need to do only directing his smartphone toward the wall which you want to paint. After that,You only need to choose the colour which you want to try on your wall and the wall colour will change instantly. sure, the colour of your wall is not literally change in the real world, But you can see the change through the app in your smartphone.

AR is also able to be found in sosial media such as instagram. Do you have instagram account? if ya, probably you have ever used AR technology. on the features of story in instagram, You can do selfie with various frame or called filter. When you use the feature your face will not transform in the real world but transform on your smartphone. that's the AR technology, a technology which is related with the real world, these both instances, prove that Dulux and Instagram using AR interactive.

 besides the examples above, what else the benefit of AR?

 More and more business are engaged in retail field using AR, one of them is Dulux and instagram, as previously discussed. besides Dulux,there are still many brands using AR technology such as IKEA,GAP,AMAZON,SEPHORA,and others. Why there are so many retail company using AR technology? most of them trying to ease the customer and also attract people in order to buy their product.

 Do you like travelling ? this activity is fancied by many people, but do you ever fell hard to find the way when you went to abroad? rilex, nowadays there have been an app which is able to help you for finding the way

there is an app lunched by apple named ARTKIT. this app seems like navigation app generally. the difference is you can choose the route and explanation in real-time from the app. for instance, you go to an airport, but you don't know where should you go. if you turn on the app, a single line will appear in your phone which will direct you to your destination. Other than that, if you direct your smartphone toward some stores, there will be short information about the store. It's able to called as AR wayfinding. interesting right? but unfortunately, this app only able to be enjoyed by the user of Ipad and iphone.
